A big “Thank You” to Morrisons for their generation donation to launch our annual ‘Chox n Sox’ Christmas appeal.
Morrisons, Victoria, near Girlington donated a selection of different chocolate varieties for The Bradford Soup Run’s yearly “Chox and Sox” initiative yesterday.
The charity has been providing support for local homeless people over the last 34 years.
Every winter it aims to bring a bit of Christmas cheer for those less fortunate, during times of testing temperatures and conditions.
The campaign provides homeless people with a chocolate present and a pair of socks to help them through this tricky period.
Donations, such as this one by Morrisons, are vital to ensuring the campaign can meet the needs of those struggling on Bradford’s streets.
Bradford Soup Run director, John Tempest, said: “All too often, people can overlook those in our city who are most in need of help.
“Fortunately, for them and ourselves, our supporters and the city’s major supermarket group have once again shown they are not only aware of others’ problems, but are doing something about it, for which we, and they, are most appreciative.”
